Camper Christmas

Last year for the Christmas Holiday we spent lots of time on the road. The roads were bad and everyone of our travels took double the time. When we found out we would be expecting a new addition in January I put my foot down and said that we would not be traveling this Christmas.
Luckily for us we have a very flexible and willing family. Our In-laws agreed to take us for Thanksgiving and come visit us once the baby came, even though it was their year to have us for Christmas. My grandma hosted an early Thanksgiving so we were able to celebrate with my uncles and new aunt.
We were also lucky to be able to celebrate Christmas with Allison, Curtis, Twila, Mom and Dad. Christmas Eve we had baked potatoes and ham. And then Christmas Day I made Chicken Cordon Bleu soup with the left over ham.
We had talked to Rhett about Santa and how he needed to be good (and go to sleep) if he wanted to get candy from Santa. Well needless to say we must have talked him up just a little too much, because at 5 AM Rhett was ready to see what Santa had brought him. By 6 AM he was wanting to wake up Brock to have his help putting up his basketball hoop.

Brock will be returning to school tomorrow. Rhett and I have enjoyed all the time that we have been able to spend with Brock during the break.
