Nearly 36 Weeks (35 Weeks, 6 Days)

On Friday we went to the doctor to see how everything was going. Her heart-rate was awesome, my blood pressure great, and I was measuring perfectly. The doctor then tried to see if her head was down, since last appointment she was still laying horizontal across my stomach and I have felt lately that she must have flipped to a more vertical position because it was much easier for me to bend. The doctor agreed that she was vertical but wasn't quite sure that it was her head down or not so he threw us in the ultrasound room for a quick look. Well she had flipped but the WRONG WAY! Our little bird is sitting in my stomach breach.
As of this week there wasn't a decision to be made. But next Friday is my next appointment and at that point it will be decision time. If she flips (the right way) then we will try for a VBAC. If she doesn't I will be having a C-Section. I was actually surprised with how little this bothered me. I realized when we left the doctor's office that I have tried everything in my power to help her come naturally, but if C-Section is what it takes to safely put our sweet baby in my arms I am good with it.
We are all getting so excited, Rhett points over at the crib at night and asks about his baby. He also has tried to convince me that other people's children are our baby and that we should take them.
Brock is glad to have a little breathing room this week to help me with a few manly projects; tightening bolts on the crib, fixing a drawer & helping me hang the bird mobile (I am getting so excited to show you the kids room, but it still has a few last minute details before picture time).
I am a few straight stitches away from completing the crib skirt. I am loving the look and it will tie in so nicely with the rest of the room. I also am in the process of making matching headbands for our little girl and I. I have completed all of the blankets that I have planned for her. I have posted tutorials to each one of these project on the Shaffer Sisters blog (a blog maintained my sisters and I).
