Since I have been so busy with nesting it seems as though I can only stay focus on writing a blog post for about 15 minutes so this has taken me several evenings to write. I will try and update this post (and this blog) with pictures but for now it is just the 1,000 words instead.
In the last 2 weeks I have accomplished the following:
- I personally canned 20 lbs of pears, all by myself. It required a couple of crazy early mornings.
- Canned 1 box of apples (roughly 35 pounds) into 12 quarts of homemade applesauce (with the help of my Mom, thanks a bunch couldn't have done it without you).
- Nearly finished the blessing dress. When I finish the last few details on it and get it hand washed I will post a picture.

| Here is a little preview. Of part of the dress. I love how the ruffles and the beads turned out. |
- Organize the kids closet and dresser. Rhett is loving being able to pick out his own clothes. Today was pretty warm and he choose a long sleeve shirt but he was so proud of himself.
- I have found quite a few long sleeve shirts for good prices, so I am happy to know that she won't freeze.
- I have finally committed to full time potty training. Yesterday, was a hard day but today is going really good. I think as long as I can stay with it then he can be pretty potty trained before she comes.
- I have finished her name plate.
- Organized all the clothes into outfits so when we bring her home from the hospital I won't have to think about what goes with what. I will just dress her. And I have extra shirts for the days she has an upset stomach.
In the next few days I am hoping to accomplish the following:
- Take Rhett's two year old pictures. I had every intention of doing that today but then when I got to the park with my camera, I realized I had left the memory card in Brock's laptop and that he was going to be on campus all day, so we will try again tomorrow.
- Clean the kids room. This is going to involve a lot of organizing and sorting some of my least favorite things to do but it is time I bit the bullet and did it...I did start on this today but lost steam after the first little bit so Rhett and I went to the park, store and came home and took naps.
- Put up crib so there is a place for all of the baby stuff to go.
- Actually finish the mobile.
- Repaint Rhett's name plate to match his new twin size bedspread.
- Try to patiently wait until Walmart or Porters have a package of crib sized batting in stock (if I can't wait I guess I could always drive to Idaho Falls to get some). And then try and finish quilt to completion.
- Do a 2-year old shoot with Rhett. I have a really fun and cut idea that I can't wait to share with you all.
- Get Rhett comfortable with sitting on a normal sized toilet.
Sometime in the next 16 weeks:
- Buy carseats.
- Work on Homemade Christmas presents.
- Make a baby wrap, so that when she comes I can have two free hands for Rhett.
- Bows/Flowers and hair accessory holder for her.
- Try and make some nice looking flowers/bows. If I can't pull it off maybe I will just have to spend some money at Mommy and Me on flowers.
It seems like my mind is always racing and I just want to get everything done. Which though I am pretty much exhausted, it makes it hard to sleep.

Ok, seriously you are wonder woman! I am amazed at you SarahLynn!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Alison. I wish I could ask you that question you know the one single guys ask...... "do you have a single sister?" But since you are my sister And I know all of my sisters are married I won't keep your chin up sis let me know if you need anything even If it's a walk with Rhett.
