Dichotomy: division into two mutually exclusive, opposed, or contradictory opinions.
Brooklyn being 1 month old is kind of a dichotomy in my mind. I can't believe she is already a month old, I sure hope the next 11 months don't go as fast as that one did. I can't believe she had only been in our family for one month, she fits so perfectly in the family it is strange to think that it has only been one month since she joined our family.
Last night I put Brooklyn in the room with Rhett. I was worried that things would go really bad but they went so much better than even my best expectations (I went in for her night time feeding, Rhett stayed asleep and then I went in at 6 and Rhett was ready to be up for the day but he didn't get out of bed until I told him that he could). I think that her crib will be her permanent night time dwelling.

3 Weeks! We have survived so far.
Just pretend that I posted this Wednesday...which I had every intention of doing but I really needed a nap and to do laundry, dishes and take care of the kids so this blog post was postponed.
It is strange to think that 3 weeks ago our little Brooklyn joined our family. It seems like it has been a blur; of naps, feedings and diaper changes. I am trying to embrace the magic of slow cooking and remember what doesn't get cleaned today can just be cleaned tomorrow. I also am realizing a nap at least every other day is important.
So this is going to be another short writing post and a ton of pictures.

| More matching PJ's. Just so everyone knows Rhett loves matching her more than I love the fact they are match (and I really love having my babies match). |

| He has gotten to the point where he is a really good big brother. |

| Couldn't choose a favorite so you get to see them all. |
![]() |
| Love the number of animals he holds as he sleeps. |
![]() |
| Rhett dresses himself so he could stand on the balcony and yell at kids. |
![]() |
| Rhett's favorite book he wants us to read it to him 4-5 times a day. |
![]() |
| Love that smile. |

| I just melt when she looks into my eyes. |

| (The rest of the photos I took that day were taken without a headband for her Grandpas who don't care for hair accessories) |

| The reason Grandpa Karla has names her stretch. When not eating or sleeping she is stretching. |

| Talking to me : ) |
![]() |
| Oh I love her in blue. |
![]() |
| Sleeping beauty |
![]() |
| Love her hands. |
![]() |
| If nothing else. I am pretty sure she has my pinned back ears. |

| Hey mom, why am I naked on a very doll bed? |
![]() |
| Miss B., so serious. |
![]() |
| I love my babies but I especially love when they are sleeping sweetly. |

| Even cute when she is making that Mom, "I hate this headband I hate my picture being taken look." |
![]() |
| "So if I stop crying for a minute will you take my picture and leave me alone?" |

Miss B: Two weeks old
Today is Miss B's two week birthday. We celebrated by taking her to the doctor and then to the hospital for blood work, not really exciting but it was fun to see her growth.
Brooklyn now weighs 8 lbs. 14 oz. (70%), is 22 inches in height (95%) and her head circumference is 14.3 in. (57%). At 1 week old she was 8 lbs. 7.5 oz. (69%), 21 inches (87%) and 13.8 in (40%).
Rhett at two weeks was 10 lbs. 9.5 oz. (94%), 22.5 inches (96%), 15.3 in (83%). And at 1 week he was 9 lbs. 6.5 oz. (85%), 21 in (81%), 15 in (85%).
Even though our little girl isn't so little in the percentages she still seems so little in comparison to our little (big) man.
The hair report: Her hair has managed to stay in place so far and seems to be growing. We will see if it stays in or if it will fall to a similar fate as Rhett's baby hair.
The last two weeks have been a pleasant whirlwind of activities. I love our family of 4.
